Day 133- Cape Town 13/2/13

This for me was a day largely spent trying to sort out transport arrangements - both back home, and also trying to get to the Drakensberg mountains by public transport. Air ticket now bought, so will be back on the evening of 2/3 - just one day of "rest" before my first bridge game in over five months - now what does Stayman mean?????

Drakensberg also sorted, but a long 2 1/2 day bus journey (overnight stays in Port Elizabeth and Durban) - let's hope it is all worth it!

The CF3 met up in the evening for our last meal (and of course first without Karina) - I ended up by having two 300g sirloin steaks. Absolutely delicious, but Ian in particular was rather gobsmacked - TWO ????!!!! Rose had booked both of them (via lastminute.com) into an "executive suite" for their final night (Rose leaves for OZ and Ian back to the UK tomorrow), and so we retired there for a final drink and hugs. For better or worse, this apartment has set the standard for the pad that Ian plans to buy when he gets his new job - very smart and very spacious.
