Day 127- Plettenberg Bay 7/2/13

Or of course simply "Plett" to we locals.

Had a leisurely drive along the N2 Garden Route stopping in the very pleasant seaside village of Wilderness for lunch, followed by a good walk along their excellent, very sandy beach and admiring the many expensive houses that front on to it. It is quite obvious that there are many people with seriously large pockets in SA. A scenic drive led to a forest walk to the 800 year old Big Tree, before we arrived at the backpackers hostel in the town centre - a former penthouse flat with large sun terrace with great views over the coastline.

Yet another excellent meal, this time with a Portuguese flavour (formerly from Mozambique). We are getting used to full three courses + wine, making up for "truck food" which, whilst wholesome and enjoyable (and in large quantities), was definitely not of this standard!
